“Christmas Theme” VSC #6 Challenge

Good Morning crafters! It’s the first of the month and you know what that means. A new challenge begins over at our V’s Sweet challenge blog! yay! This month our theme is christmas/ holiday. I know many of us have already started our christmas cards or will be making some soon.

To get our the holidays started we put up our tree last night and we had such a blast. It definitely a great way to start december. Here are a few photos of my little one helping with the decorations

Now on to my card for VSC #6 Challenge

Fun and easy Christmas card

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made using very inexpensive stamps. On a recent trip to michaels I purchased a few $1 stamps. I then used medium and perfect pearls to add the background on the Kraft card. I cut out the image stamps using my circle nestabilities and I also cut out scallops. I then embossed the sentiment (also $1) on black card stock and voila!

Mini Lattice Blog Hop – Lattice challenge

HI, crafty friends and readers!!!

The day is finally here!!!  Yippieee! (:  Welcome to the Lattice Challenge Mini Blog Hop, alongside my SUPER talented friends, Lenny Sacreas and Grisel Blanco

Our friend Lenny had suggested to Grisel that they challenge one another by creating cards with their lattice background stamps.  Grisel decided to invite me to also join them in this fun challenge, because I had recently found an awesome DIY Lattice project on Pinterest… and THIS is how the idea of a mini blog hop emerged! (:

Here is my card using a lattice background

To make the lattice background I used my Martha Stewart score board. I then popped it up with foam adhesive on the base cardstock. The sentiment was handwritten by me using a white gel pen.

It’s Giveaway Time!!!  Your on the right track if you came here from Grisel’s blog if not then please start from there. Here’s your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to  my V’s Sweet Ideas online shop!!(:  All you have to do is follow my blog and leave me a comment by Friday, November 23 at 11:59 PM EST, telling me what your favorite background stamp is and its manufacturer!!! (:   I will announce the winner on Sunday, November 25th.  Good luck!!!! (:

Up next… Lenny Sacreas blog!   I can’t wait to see what Grisel and Lenny have created!
