Getting deconstructed

Good Afternoon everyone, wow I can’t believe another week has past by and it’s already May. Today Jen posted up her new sketch challenge- Deconstructed Sketch 50. I actually got a glimpse of it on her Facebook page last night. At first I thought “wow, this sketch is going to be a bit tricky” but after checking out the other designs from the design team I became a bit more at ease. Some may think your creativity is limited to what the sketch ask for but for me I think it’s the opposite and that’s why I love to join her challenges. Lately I have been using a lot of digital designer kits because there is a large selection online and you can download them instantly. It saves up space and also gives you a greater flexibility to cut and resize to your liking. I mostly get my digi kits from two peas and a bucket but there are definitely many other sites offering beautiful digi designs. Ok now back to the card. For this card I used A day for daises digi stamp and colored her in with my copic markers. The paper I used are from a digi kit I downloaded called Blush Pattern Paper. I embellished the card with pink seam binding and stitched the edges with my handheld singer sewing machine. The sentiment is from StampinUp “Tiny wishes”. If you would like to know more about digi printing feel free to email me. I would be glad to share what I know.

Shabby Tea Room Challenge….

I was searching through the web and found yet another awesome challenge. This week The Shabby Tea Room challenge theme is “Birthday Bash”. Provided with a scrumptious photo for inspiration we are asked to create a Birthday card or project inspired by the photo and include a cupcake. WIth amazing inspirations from the Design Team I came up with this card. I have been wanting to use this C.C. design digi stamp for awhile and haven’t had a chance so I took this opportunity to enter both All that Scraps challenge and The Shabby Tea room‘s challenge. I must say I really love the color combo on this card and I also used a pop-up technique with the digi stamp.

Thinking of you…..

I know I have been MIA on a few challenges but with this crazy weather my family has been getting sick. Now that everyone is back to normal I can go back to my challenges. So far I made a card for two challenges which are “Transport” – Lili of the Valley CHallenge and Deconstructed Sketch No. 47-Deconstructing Jen. For the “Transport” challenge we had to use a Lili of the valley stamp that had to do with traveling. Being that varies travel with wings they allowed us to use our fairy stamps. For the Deconstructed Sketch we had to follow the sketch below. Now for the items I used on my card.

Stamp: Lili of the Valley, sentiment from SU tiny wishes. -Copic markers and Prisma color pencils. -SU designer paper and PPI card stock. -Ink: SU and tim holtz distress ink. -embelishments:Lace, buttons, twine and paper flowers.

Paper flower challenge

I have joined a few new challenges this week and this card is for the wild orchid challenge “BINGO”.For the challenge you must choose 3 items that are in a straight line – horizontal, vertical or diagonal from the picture below. I chose distressing, flowers and paper piercing.

Cards for men challenge!

So I found a new card challenge blog focused on cards for men.The blog is called Cards for Men.  The challenge is called Cheeky Chappies sponsored by bugaboostamps. I used a bugaboo stamp for this challenge because they have some really funny and cheeky stamps. I used white SU card stock and printed the image right on the cardstock. I used copic markers and prismacolor pencils to color the image.

This card will also be entered into the Cute Card Thursday “anything goes” Challenge.

First Challenge: A “123 Recipe” Card

Today I’m entering my first Card challenge at Crafty Cardmakers hosted by Kim. The Challenge is called A Recipe Challenge 123. The card must contain 1 image, 2 background papers and 3 embellishments in which one must be a heart.

The image I used is a digital stamp from tiddlyinks . The Wryn collection.

I used two designer papers. One from the stamping up collection and the other a scrap. I do not remember what pack it came from.

For the embellishments I have hearts I cut out with with the cricut and pearls.

I really enjoyed this challenge and hope to enter many more. Thanks for checking out my blog.

I have also entered this card in the tiddlyink challenge #80 at Tiddlyinks
And DYSU #59 layers challenge at DoYouStackUp
